Powder coating refinishes and restores just about any household, outdoor or industrial product made of aluminum, steel, metal, brass or copper. It's similar to spray painting but really, spray painting isn't even in the same league as powder coating. Spray painting coats unevenly, lasts about a month or two before it peels, scratches, bleaches and wears away, is a dirty process for the consumer and is rather expensive considering the amount of cans you have to buy to properly coat and double coat your item.

Benefits of Powder Coating

  • Tough
  • Durable
  • Scratch-resistant
  • Lasts up to 20 years under the toughest of climate conditions
  • Attractive and Colorful – choose from hundreds of basic, metallic and specialty colors
  • Highest possible quality of paint used
  • Versatile
  • Think GREEN! Powder coating is also environmentally friendly

Powder Coating is an advanced restoration and refinishing process for just about any product made of aluminum, steel, metal, brass or copper. It's used by consumers like you and industries to provide a high quality decorative and protective coating to the product.

Powder coating protects your product from heat, cold, grime, scratching, corrosion, bleaching and any other climate-induced challenge.

Powder Coating is inexpensive.. costs less than spray painting!

A $2,500 patio furniture set can be powder coated for as low as $250 – a tenth of the replacement cost. Imagine buying a new patio furniture set for $250. With powder coating, you can.

How Does Powder Coating Work?

The coating material used in the powder coating process is a mixture of finely ground particles made of pigment and resin. It is electrically charged then professionally sprayed onto the product's surface.

After it's sprayed onto the product surface, the paint is cured in an oven where the charged powder particles permanently adhere to it until it's heated and fused and a smooth coating is formed.

This is why powder coating is often referred to as electrostatic powder coating. The powder coating and oven curing process creates a smooth, long-lasting, climate-resistant, beautifully attractive finish.

Think Green with Powder Coating

  • Powder Coating contains no VOC's or volatile organic compounds
  • Powder Coating does not contain carcinogens like spray paint
  • Powder Coating is virtually pollution-free!

Powder coating is environmentally friendly and pollution-free! Why? Because there are hardly any volatile organic compounds (VOC's) or carcinogens released into the environment during the powder coating process.

We can't say the same thing about spray painting.

Spray paint contains carcinogens and volatile organic compounds (VOC's) that are released into the air.
